We were pleased to have successful validation events for our new Masters courses, in Diversity, in Existential Coaching and in Existential and Humanist Pastoral Care at the end of the last academic year. This year we are in the process of revalidation for both our doctoral programmes and the MSc in Psychotherapy Studies. Our programme leaders. Dr Neil Lamont, DProf, Dr. Claire Arnold-Baker DCPsych and Prof Digby Tantam for the Msc are very busy with preparations already.  We shall write to you closer to the time to ask you to participate in this event, which will take place in May.
Meanwhile we look forward to a special lecture by Digby Tantam on the occasion of the launch of his new book 'The Interbrain', which has already attracted a lot of press interest. The lecture will be organized by the Society of Psychotherapy and you can book tickets through them. The event will take place at the Existential Academy on Tuesday 20 February at 7pm.
We are sorry to have to say goodbye to Florence, our librairian who has been unable to renew her work permit with the Home Office, but we are grateful for her reorganization of the library, which we hope you are making good use of. We hope to appoint a new librairian before too long.
You will see elsewhere in the newsletter that we are updating our image and website and would like to hear from you with any ideas of what you would like to see on the new website.
We hope you visit our Facebook groups for the New School and the Existential Academy and follow us on Twitter too, as we try to keep you updated with information via social media as well as through this occasional newsletter. We would like to draw your attention to the short course programme we run through the Existential Academy, providing one day courses on a range of topics.
Enjoy your studies and your training with us.
We hope to see many of you on the 20th February.
