My name is Lindsay van Dijk and have a great passion for humanist pastoral care and celebrancy work. I am currently working as the lead (humanist) chaplain at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust which I will finish on 30 April 2021 to start a new head of Chaplaincy role at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

I have been trained on master’s level in the Netherlands at the University of Humanistic Studies to provide humanist and existential counselling, coaching and pastoral care and am therefore accredited as a chaplain through the UK Board of healthcare Chaplaincy (UKBHC), the Non-Religious Pastoral Support Network (NRPSN) and as a humanist funeral celebrant at Humanists U.K.

I am also currently the chair for the non-religious pastoral support network, work as a coach, supervisor and trainer for humanist pastoral carers at Humanists U.K. and I have started my PhD exploring humanist pastoral care further at Middlesex University.

I am a tutor on the Existential and Humanist pastoral care MA at the NSPC and I am happy to be contacted to support you with your research as research supervisor within the following areas:

- Existential and spiritual
- Meaning and purpose
- Beliefs and worldviews
- Chaplaincy or pastoral care work

Preferred methodologies:
- Phenomenology
