Entry Requirements

Applicants need to have established their accreditation as a psychotherapist, a psychologist or a counsellor and they need to have professional registration with BPS, UKCP, BACP or equivalent. They should be practitioners with sufficient experience to move towards the next stage of professional seniority. The certificate is intended to prepare you to work as a supervisor, a group facilitator,
a teacher or a manager in the field.

We expect you to have a sound previous knowledge and experience of the existential approach. Those candidates who do not have this will need to complete the part-time short course ‘Introduction to Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling’ before applying.

Applicants will need to complete the New School’s application form and attend an interview with a member of faculty or the course leader. Applications are accepted at any time of the year and the modules can be taken at your discretion.
